Have you always dreamed of becoming a nail technician? Our Gel Polish Starter Course is the perfect first step. In this 4-hour in-person session, you’ll learn how to confidently apply, maintain, and safely remove gel polish, giving you the essential skills to begin your journey into nails.
I’ll guide you through precise application techniques across a range of styles – including French, red, black, metallic, and glitter – as well as full removal. By the end of your training, you’ll have a strong foundation to build on, whether you continue learning or start offering services.
What this course is used for
Gel polish is one of the most popular salon treatments. This short course equips you with the skills to create beautiful, long-lasting results for clients.
Prerequisites
No previous experience is required. The theory is taught to a manicure standard, making this course suitable for complete beginners.

Is this a fully accredited Course and will i be able to gain insurance?
Yes, this course is fully accredited by ABT. You can check my credentials on their website, alongside all the courses I have accredited with them. With this accreditation, you’re also eligible to gain professional insurance.
Where is the training held (in person)?
All in-person sessions take place at our studio in Heage, Derbyshire. In addition, you’ll enjoy unlimited access to our extensive online platform, which provides extra resources, detailed theory lessons, and practical demonstrations to complement your training. Starting from lesson one, you’ll be guided by me every step of the way to ensure you fully grasp each concept. Are there exams/assesments required for the course?
Absolutely! To become a skilled and safe nail technician, it's essential to continuously refresh and perfect your knowledge and technique. Our online platform features theory exams and a dedicated area where you can upload and track all your case studies. I’ll provide constructive feedback every step of the way, ensuring you develop into the best technician you can be.
Do i need to do anything before the course ?
Yes, there is online theory and online exams to complete before you attend your first day of training with me.
Do i need a kit ?
You will not require a kit for your lessons as you will use mine. However you will need a kit to complete your case studies and practice at home. A full kit list is available please email.
Will I receive ongoing support?
Absolutely. I’m dedicated to your success. You’ll have personalised support before, during, and after the course, with direct access to me for any questions or further guidance as you develop your skills.
Can i change dates/refund this course?
Please note that, as stated in our terms and conditions, refunds are not available for this course. You can read these here.
I understand that sometimes circumstances may require you to rearrange your plans. However, if you’re booked onto a group class, you'll need to wait to join the next scheduled session, as the group timetable cannot be altered for individual bookings – this might delay your progress. For one-to-one sessions, one reschedule to a different date is allowed for your convenience if required in an emergency.
