This fully accredited Acrylic Nail Course is designed to give you the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to create strong, durable acrylic nail enhancements.

Acrylic remains one of the most versatile nail enhancement systems used in professional salons, allowing technicians to create durable extensions, sculpted shapes and structured nail enhancements.

Through a combination of clear theory and hands on practical training, you will develop a strong understanding of nail structure, product control and correct acrylic application techniques.

Training takes place in a small class environment at Melanie Lewendon Academy in Derbyshire, allowing you to learn through clear demonstrations, guided practical training and personalised feedback throughout the course.

You will also receive lifetime access to the Melanie Lewendon Academy online learning platform, giving you the ability to revisit demonstrations, theory lessons and guidance whenever you need continued support during and after your training.

• Professional nail preparation and natural nail safety
• Understanding acrylic liquid and powder chemistry
• Correct liquid to powder ratio and product control
• Acrylic overlays on natural nails
• Acrylic nail extensions using tips
• Sculpting acrylic extensions using forms
• Building correct nail structure and apex placement
• Filing, refining and shaping techniques
• Troubleshooting lifting and retention issues
• Safe removal methods and correct client aftercare

No previous nail qualifications are required

Certification
ABT accredited certification issued once case studies have been successfully completed

Case Studies
Case studies are required after training to demonstrate safe and confident application

Minimum age 16

• In depth acrylic product knowledge and chemistry

• Troubleshooting lifting and retention issues
• Client aftercare and safe removal techniques

• Ongoing tutor support before, during and after your training
